    Are bards useless DND?

Almost always, another member of the party is capable of outperforming the bard in any given situation. Wizards have access to utility spells, fighters have the ability to tank, rogues have the ability to pick locks and disarm traps, clerics can heal and buff, and rangers have the ability to track and deliver damage from a distance.
