Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Instructions for Evolving Wiglett

We are getting very close to the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and with them come some fun new variants of Pokemon that we are already familiar with and adore.
Wiglett is an example of one of these. They share a striking resemblance to the Pokémon we all know and love, Diglett, but they are in fact an entirely distinct species.

Additionally, they are a worm! They are similar to Diglett in that they are found buried deep within the ground, and they also undergo an evolution. They are a water pokemon rather than a ground pokemon in their natural state.

In this guide, we will discuss how to evolve Wiglett as well as the steps that need to be taken in order to evolve your new worm friend.

In the same manner as Diglett, they develop into their very own unique form of Dugtrio, which is known as Wugtrio. A collection of worms living in the soil.

Exactly Where to Look for Wiglett

The Diglett variant known as Wiglett, which has a water-based special ability, can be discovered in a select few coastal areas of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The following map displays them all for your perusal:

Tutorial on How to Develop Wiglett

You only need to perform one easy step in order to evolve this Pokemon, which looks like an interesting garden eel. You will need to level it up to the maximum of 26. This method of evolution is extremely simple, and you shouldn’t expect it to take very much time at all. You can advance a Pokemon’s level in a variety of different ways.

If you don’t want to spend a lot of time doing the grind to level up your candies, you can use rare candies and experience candies to speed up the process if you already have those candies on hand.

XP share is also turned on in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so as long as you keep Wiglett in your party, you will be able to quickly level them up through battle. This is only the case if you have Wiglett in your party. If this is what you would like to do, you can make them the primary source of damage dealt to enable them to also receive the majority of the XP that is earned.

They will evolve into Wugtrio once they reach level 26 and have enough experience. That is the simplest way to put it!

There is, however, an additional way to acquire a Wugtrio, given that the strange pink fish (?) does, in fact, spawn in their natural environment.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the following is a map depicting all of its possible spawn locations:

The Base Statistics of Wugtrio

The following table lists the base statistics of Wugtrio, which can be found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (source: Serebii):
HP

Attack
– 100
Defense
– 50
Attack from Space
– 50
Sp. Defense
– 70

It is highly likely that Wugtrio will never be anything more than a ‘Dex filler with base stats like these.
